Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has praised Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris for assenting bill that ensures there is a commission for persons with disabilities in Kebbi State.
INN had on Tuesday reported that Governor Nasir Idris assented to bill establishing Kebbi State Disability Commission.
The bill was presented to the governor for his assent by speaker, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Ankwe after ratification by the Assembly at the government house on Tuesday.
In a statement signed by Hon. Abba Isa, the Presidential aide appreciates Gov. Nasir Idris for his prompt and decisive action in assenting to the bill for the establishment of the Disability Commission.
He stated that governor Idris’ commitment to inclusivity and the well-being of all citizens is commendable and aligns with the vision of creating a society where everyone, regardless of ability, can thrive.
According to him, “The establishment of this Commission is a crucial step toward fostering an environment that recognizes and addresses the unique needs of persons with disabilities.
