2023: APC assures of inclusion, inaugurates Ogun State APC PWD Support Group

The Chairman, Ogun State All Progressive Congress (APC) Chief, Yemi Sanusi has promised to include persons with disabilities in all the party’s activities and programmes in the state.

He said this while inaugurating group of persons with disabilities (PWDs) across 20 local governments, assuring that persons with disabilities have the ability to deliver victory to all APC candidates at all levels.

Speaking on behalf of Chief Sanusi, debuty Chief, James Dina reiterated the state’s commitment to full and active participation of PWDs in the party’s programmes.

He noted that the APC is a disability friendly party with total commitment to the welfare of people irrespective of their disability.

He urged PWDs to engage in politics and perform their civic responsibilities through electoral process and vote for the ruling party that will address their needs.

Mr Olujimi Adekunle Desmond, the Special adviser to the governor on Youth development maintained that the Ogun State APC led administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun will support people with disability in the state and promised to use his office to influence positive developments. He said “Only God is perfect and we should see our disability as catalyst for greater achievement.”

He enjoined PWDs to mobilise their members for equal participationt and vote for all APC candidates in the local, state and national levels.

Desmond harped on conveying PWDs’ needs to the state governor. He also pledged to finance the transportation fare of five delegates of the group to Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD) National Convention Election/Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bauchi on November 23-26, 2022 which is now shifted to Abuja on November 29 to December 1, 2022.

The Leader of Ogun APC PWD Support group, Dr Lekan Mohammed thanked all the guests and affirmed the group’s commitment to ensure victory for all APC candidates in the race starting with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prince(Dr) Dapo Abiodun and all other candidates.
