The founder and CEO of Cedar Seed Foundation and Network of Women with Disabilities, Lois Auta has emerged as pioneer National Treasurer of the newly established School of Politics, Policy, and Governance (SPPG) Alumni Association. She got massive supports from members with 129 votes out of 153.

INN reports that Lois Auta was among the graduates of SPPG in January this year and she revealed that the training helped shape and redefine her political ambitions.

The 2023 House of Assembly aspirant was the only person with Disability among the pioneer executives set to be launched next month.

In an interview with Inclusive News Network (INN), an excited Auta said the move is a good step in the right direction.

According to her, “Being a Person With Disability (PWD), I was not elected as a Diversity or Disability Inclusion Officer but a Treasurer, this means that I am competent, I have the capacity and the credibility to become anyone I want to become.

Auta says the new position will help build her innovative nature, inspire others and seek inclusion and development while challenging the status quo.

“It helps me to grow, it will open new doors of opportunities and learning. It will give me a new experience and new avenues of creating the change I want to see in the Association.

“In the Pioneer class, Taiwo Osanyin Oreoluwa and I that were the only students with disabilities. Now in this second class, I know there are more students with disabilities. Of course, I want to see more Persons with Disabilities participating in the world class, digital learning platform of School of Politics, Policy and Governance.” She said.
