The lingering crises rocking JONAPWD has been resolved permanently as both parties from the camps of Ekaete Judith Umoh and Barrister Yusuf Achenyo Iyodo finally sheathed their swords and reached a resolution to work together with the help of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Executive Secretary, James Lalu and JONAPWD BOTs Chairman, Prince Paul Adelabu and Usman A. Nahuchi

The establishment of the NCPWD seems to come as a blessing for the community of Persons with Disabilities. This reflects in the great role played by the Commission in ensuring both parties sheathed their swords.

With the resolution reached, the substantive President of JONAPWD, Ms. Ekaete Judith Umoh is expected to remain the President of JONAPWD and is to serve for 2 years while Barrister Yusuf Achenyo Iyodo is now appointed as technical assistant/consultant

The NCPWD in a Facebook post shared on Friday said “JONAPWD Lingering Crises permanently resolved. Ms Ekaete Judith Umoh remains the President of JONAPWD while Barrister Yusuf Achenyo Iyodo appointed technical Assistant/Consultant”

“With the resolutions reached Ms Ekaete Judith Umoh is now JONAPWD National President and she is expected to serve for two years….”

More details shall be provided later…
