COVID-19: Relief As JONAPWD In Edo Donates N400,000 To 80 Members

Moved by the hardship faced by its members in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Edo State Chapter on Friday made cash transfer of N5000 each to 80 indigent members cut across the 18 Local Governments in the State.

Chairman of the Chapter, Comrade Ebose Henry said the gesture was a way to looking inwards and ingeniously find a way to provide palliative response to cushion the effect of the hardship faced by persons with disabilities.

He noted that in this trying times where the entire world is in a total lockdown occasioned by the rampaging COVID-19, persons with disabilities are worst hit by pandemic.

Inclusive News Network, INN gathered that the Association is seeking the support of kind hearted individuals and NGOs to reach more members towards uplifting their standard of living.
