Foundation Showers Palliatives On Blind Persons, Farmers, Others In Ogbomoso

Many residents of Ogbomoso, Oyo State were some days back presented with various palliative items in a bid to provide succour to the people during these perilous times as COVID-19 pandemic ravages the world. Behind the refreshing gesture is a foremost Ogbmoso-based charity outfit, Maigida Charity Foundation, founded by Dr. Samson Adewale Adegoke Maigida.

In its move to cushion the painful effects of the COVID-19 lockdown, the Foundation made available to be centrally distributed among residents of Oshogbo rice, Gari, Semovita, Semolina, grandnut oil and noodles from its offices and the palace of the Onpetu in Ogbomoso.

In a message to the people at the inauguration of the distribution penultimate Monday, the royal father, Oba Sunday Adedapo Odeniran the Onpetu of Ijeru Land thanked the foundation and Dr Samson Adewale Adegoke for acceeding to his request for the people and prayed that God should intercede on behalf of all nations of the world in seeing to the end of this global pandemic.

The beneficiaries, according to a statement issued by the Foundation on Thursday, included the blind centre, the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Muslim Societies of Nigeria. Others were the security agencies in Ogbomoso and peasant farmers. The programme which commenced on Monday, May 18, ended on Friday, May 22, 2020 amidst accolades and prayers for Dr Samson Adewale Adegoke and the Maigida Charity Foundation.
