Team Nigeria athletes to Paris Paralympics return safely

Team Nigeria athletes to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in France have returned to the country.

Made up of 24 athletes excluding officials, the team returned into the country in batches on Monday and yesterday

The first batch which included the ‘golden’ Para- Powerlifters landed at 11pm Nigeria time with Air Maroc on Monday while the second batch that was made up mainly of Para-Table Tennis players arrived 8am through Qatar Airways while the last batch which contained the Para-Athletics team, arrived 12 noon.

Based on the above fact, all team Nigeria Paralympic Athletes to Paris have returned safely into the country.

President of the Paralympic Committee Nigeria (PCN) Sunday Odebode, has given God all the glory for the safe return of team Nigeria athletes from Paris even as he commended the Minister of Sports Development , Senator John Owan Enoh, for being there for the athletes

Also happy for team Nigeria safe trip from Paris is Prof. Mariam Adefunke Suleiman, the President of the National Association of Nigeria Women in Sports (NAWIS). She thanked God for guiding our athletes all through.

Meanwhile, the returnee Paralympians were full of praises for the FMSD Lagos Liaison officer, Mrs Nkana Mbora for mobilizing Lagosians who besieged the Murtala Mohammed International Airport to welcome the victorious Nigeria Paralympics contingent.

Nigeria won a total of seven medals at the Paralympics including two gold, two Silver and three bronze at the Paris 2024 Games.
