PWDs Laud Lawmaker for Empowering Five with Motorcycles in Nasarawa

Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Nasarawa State have commended a lawmaker representing Kokona East, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, for empowering five individuals with specially constructed motorcycles to enhance their mobility and economic independence.

The gesture, described as unprecedented by beneficiaries, is part of the lawmaker’s ongoing empowerment programme aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable groups within his constituency. Members of the PWD community noted that the intervention would significantly boost their daily activities and livelihoods.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Idris Muhammad Sani, the Joint Association of Persons with Disabilities, Keffi Zone, praised Ogazi for what he called a historic and inclusive initiative. He said the empowerment reflects a strong commitment to the provisions of the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, 2018, which seeks to promote equal opportunities and social inclusion for persons living with disabilities.

Sani, expressed deep appreciation to the lawmaker, describing him as a consistent advocate for the vulnerable. He added that the kind gesture has further strengthened the lawmaker’s reputation for community service, while offering prayers for his continued success in his political career.
