Presidential Aspirant Empowers Persons With Disabilities In Gombe

An aspirant for presidential seat in the upcoming general elections, Professor Chris Imumolen has distributed some fifty empowerment forms to Persons with Physical Disabilities in Akko LGA, Gombe State as humanitarian support to less privileged members of society.

Imumolen says the gesture is intended to cushion current economic hardship in the country.

Hon Auwal Yau Kumo, Zonal Coordinator for Imumolen (North East Vanguard) disclosed this penultimate Sunday in Kumo, Akko LGA, Gombe State.

The Coordinator, who was accompanied by Zonal and State executives to distribute the forms says the act was informed by his principal’s concern for the sufferings of less privileged members of society and to ensure their inclusion.

Auwal seized the occasion to describe in details the life history of Prof. Imumolen, his vision and mission as well as contributions to the development of education in the country.

He went on to explain benefits that accrue to the empowerment intervention while also highlighting importance of ensuring the forms are filled error free.

Auwal emphasized that the empowerment forms were free and cautioned against extortion. He says defaulters shall be dealt with accordingly.

Responding to the welcome development, secretary of the Physically challenged Association, Akko local Government, Mal Muhd Mandi Kula appreciated the efforts of Prof. Christopher Imomulen on behalf of the group. He assured him of the group’s full support and prayers in the upcoming general elections.

INN learnt that the empowerment forms were circulated to potential beneficiaries across the 36 states of the Federation, including the FCT through Prof Chris Imumolen’s Campaign organization.
