Advocacy for Women with Disabilities Initiative has organised a walk for sexual right and disability Right in Lagos.
Supported by Hivos welead, women with disabilities took over the streets of Lagos in their hundreds on 21 December 2023 to express their sexual rights and disability Right, this was done to express their sexual choices and asked the public and most importantly the duty bearers to respect their decisions as part of disability Rights in the state and Nigeria at large.
The women with disabilities and some youths move on the busy streets of Lagos and distribution of IEC materials were down with messages of disability justice, freedom from sexual attacks, sexual and gender based violence, choices and inclusion in sexual and reproductive health rights programs and policies.
