Concert for Change, a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting orphans and children living with disabilities, has disbursed N55 million to five beneficiary organisations across Nigeria following the Green Worship 8 Benefit Concert held in Lagos.
The annual fundraising event brought together charities from different parts of the country that provide care and support services for vulnerable children. Each of the selected organisations received N11 million to strengthen their operations and enhance service delivery. The beneficiaries include Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children, Warri; Marvellous Foundation Orphans Care Centre, Minna; Super Parent Foundation, Lagos; Hope Orphanage, Akure; and the Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria, Uyo.
According to the organisers, the funds will be deployed towards infrastructure development, procurement of specialised equipment, therapy services, educational resources, and other critical interventions aimed at improving the welfare of children with disabilities and orphans.
The N55 million disbursement represents a 49.66 per cent increase from the N36.75 million distributed in 2025, reflecting a nearly 50 per cent year-on-year growth driven by increased donor participation and expanding community support.
Managing Trustee of Concert for Change, Wale Adenuga, described the growth as a testament to sustained compassion and collective commitment. He noted that the organisation remains focused on transparency, accountability, and impactful partnerships with credible charities to ensure meaningful change.
“This increase is not just a financial milestone; it is proof that compassion is still alive and that people are willing to support children who might otherwise be forgotten,” he said.
Since its inception, formerly known as Worship for Change, Concert for Change has raised over N200 million, supporting 49 charities and positively impacting thousands of vulnerable children nationwide.
The organisation stated that it has strengthened its accountability framework through milestone-based disbursement processes to ensure effective utilisation of funds, while the beneficiary organisations expressed gratitude, pledging to deploy the resources toward meeting the urgent needs of children under their care.
