The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has been praised for her continuous support and care for People with Disabilities (PWDs), particularly through her sponsorship of the Annual Christian Gift Day programme.
Comrade Kehinde Oshilaja, the coordinator of the Kehinde Oshilaja Foundation, highlighted Senator Tinubu’s commitment to this cause, noting that she has sponsored the event in previous years.
He called on well-meaning Nigerians to support the initiative and ensure its success.
The 2024 celebration, themed “For the Betterment of Nigeria,” is set to hold on December 23 at Evans Square, Lagos, and is expected to host over 300 PWDs from Lagos State’s three senatorial districts.
Comrade Oshilaja emphasized that the programme is not solely about giving gifts but about demonstrating love and care in the spirit of Christ.
He urged state governors to replicate such initiatives during Christmas and encouraged the public to contribute essential items such as canes for the blind, wheelchairs for the physically disabled, and other necessities to ease the lives of PWDs.
“Let us unite to make this Christmas truly special for our brothers and sisters,” Oshilaja appealed.
