In a consultation meeting organised by Department for International Development in Nigeria (DFIDNigeria) and Child Development Grant Programme (CDGP) by Save the Children International, DFID Nigeria has hinted that leaving no one behind is a critical part of it’s global agenda and Nigeria is central to any efforts in tackling extreme poverty & exclusion on a global scale. “This is sadly, home to more people living in extreme poverty.” It added

Disability Rights Advocacy Center (DRAC)’s Executive Director, Irene Ojiugo Patrick-Ogbogu was a panelist at the Social Inclusion consultation meeting held on Wednesday. When asked in a telephone chat about the meeting, she told INN that though she couldn’t stay till the end of the program but feel it was a very good start to whatever programs they plan. “Consultation with the disability community is key to ensuring that they tailor programmes effectively to suit the peculiarities of the community” she said.
