NGO Moves To Help 40 Year-Old Physically Challenged Man Return To School

A Non Governmental Organisation, Jibore Impeccable Foundation committed to providing solutions to problems facing persons with disabilities has taken steps to help a 40 year-old physically challenged man return to school.

Founder of the Foundation, Mrs. Joy Bolarin, a physically challenged woman said she recently discovered the man abandoned with helpless and aged grandparents since childhood due to his condition.

She said the neglect affected him to the extent that he was malnourished, pale, dirty shattered and unkempt.

Touched with his plight, she said the foundation donated foodstuff, medical treatment and cash to take care of the man for immediate relief.

But she said the Foundation was currently faced with the challenge of meeting up with aiding the man enroll in a special home/school with boarding facilities in order to be well taken care of.

40 year-old man now return to school

According to her, putting him in school is costing the foundation the sum of ₦45,000 (forty five thousand naira only) monthly. The fund includes the cost of food and payment for caregiver.

“The foundation is self sponsored therefore the need to seek helping hands in order to keep the man in the school, and to give him a better life he deserves. We believe disability should not lead to abandonment.

“We are looking forward to your generous donation to achieve this mission to keep the man in school and touch his live positively and other lives.

“Investing in people is the greatest asset that has huge reward more than our expectations”. “The good we do to others will come back to us,” she said.

She added that over the years, the Foundation has been assisting disabled people in various ways including helping a family of four people all living with disability, taking girl with fistula to Jos hospital for surgery, donation of food and cash to people with disability, supporting a book production of a physical challenge author, Sponsoring freedom ceremony for lady with disability, awareness creation for need to educate children with disability, support and get them empowered in areas of their ability.
