The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities wishes to dissociate from the ongoing circulations of Disability Certificate Forms.
INN reports that persons with disabilities in some states have received disability certificate forms believed to be from the commission and they are asked to pay a sum of ₦500 to send the forms to the commission in Abuja through couriers.
The Commission, in a statement released on Sunday through Mbanefo JohnMichaels Ikechukwu, Head Press and PR Unit of the commission, said it wishes to inform the general public that the Form for Disability Certificate is not for sale.
The Commission said it will issue a more digital and easy application process.
“The Disability Certificate issuance is completely free and can be obtained at the Commission’s headquarters at any time.
“Those who apply digitally will get their certificate delivered to their doorsteps at no cost to the applicants.” The commission said.
