NCPWD Celebrates Dr. Samuel Ankeli at 61, Salutes His Role in Shaping Nigeria’s Disability Agenda

The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has celebrated Dr. Samuel Ode Ankeli (MON), the former Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Disability Matters, as he clocks 61 years.

In a congratulatory message, the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Hon. Ayuba Burki Gufwan, paid glowing tribute to Dr. Ankeli, describing him as a visionary leader whose passion and advocacy were instrumental in the establishment of the NCPWD.

Hon. Gufwan lauded Dr. Ankeli’s lifelong dedication to promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities, noting that his impact has left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s disability rights movement.

“Dr. Ankeli is a true icon of inclusion whose leadership and service have inspired countless others within the disability community,” Gufwan stated. “On behalf of the Management and Staff of the Commission, I extend our warmest wishes for continued health, wisdom, and fulfillment.”

He further prayed that God grants Dr. Ankeli strength and grace to continue his service to humanity and the nation.
