NAPWPD Lagos Honors LCDA Chairman, Hammed Idowu at Ijoba Ibile Para-Games

The National Association of Persons with Physical Disability (NAPWPD), Lagos State Chapter has bestowed a meritorious award upon Honorable Hammed Idowu D. Tijani (HID), the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area.

The prestigious accolade was presented to the LCDA chairman, at the second Edition of the Ijoba Ibile Para-Games and symposium, for his unwavering support towards individuals with disabilities, which attest to his dedication to inclusivity and empowerment.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Razaq Yekinni, Chief Press Secretary,
Ojokoro LCDA.

Apostle Ojo Bamidele, the convener of the event, effusively praised HID Tijani for his consistent backing of the association and the broader community of individuals with special needs, both within and beyond the borders of Ojokoro LCDA. He particularly lauded HID Tijani for fostering an environment conducive to growth and development and for graciously hosting the just concluded events.

In response, HID Tijani expressed his gratitude, emphasizing that the true measure of appreciation lies in continued action.

He reiterated his commitment to serving the people diligently, stating, “The best way to appreciate awards is through more work, and that we will continue to do as a government. On our part, we are not going to relent at getting the dividends of democracy to the people, irrespective of the circumstances.”

HID Tijani highlighted the local government’s unwavering dedication to ensuring that every individual, regardless of physical ability, enjoys the benefits of democracy and community support.
