The Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs (LASODA) has heaped encomiums on the Redeemed Christian Church of God, King’s Court Parish, for making their services and facilities accessible for Persons with Disabilities in the church.
Speaking at the Parish’s Diversity Sunday on 22 May, 2022 (an event organized to celebrate people with disabilities), LASODA General Manager, Mr. Oluwadamilare Ogundairo remarked that the facilities will ease movement of Persons with Disabilities around the church premises.
Ogundairo also lauds Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu for providing ramps and other accessibility facilities in all the 37 inclusive schools in the State.
He noted that the Governor is very specific about no one being left behind.
“I don’t know how long this church building has been in existence, Mr. Dare remarked, however I’m happy to know that everywhere is inclusive, including the toilets.
“I am proud that a first of its kind Church with such accessible features in Nigeria started from Lagos State.
“It’s good to know that The King’s Court is open and accessible for People with Disabilities. Still, I urge you to also open your hearts and make the spirit of inclusiveness part of your mindset because all these facilities will be without meaning if, as a people, we are not inclusive and welcoming.
“Always involve People with Disabilities in your programs”, the LASODA General Manager enthused.
