The Lagos State Government has recognised Mr. Aliu Azeez, a seasoned special educator and Inclusive Education Desk Officer at the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MBSE), as Officer of the Year (Outstanding Officer, Senior Category) at the 2025 Public Service Week (PSW) Celebration held in Lagos.
Public Service Week is an annual nationwide event that brings together public servants across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to celebrate excellence, assess service delivery, and reinforce values such as professionalism, accountability, innovation, and efficiency within the Nigerian Public Service.
The recognition of Mr. Azeez highlights Lagos State’s commitment to rewarding dedication and impactful service, particularly in the area of inclusive education.
Speaking with Inclusive News Network shortly after receiving the award, Mr. Azeez expressed profound gratitude to the Lagos State Government for acknowledging excellence in public service. He described the honour as a reflection of collective effort rather than individual achievement.
