Jigawa Governor Namadi Appoints Zubairu Musa as Special Adviser on Disability Affairs

The Governor of Jigawa State, Dr. Umar Namadi (Dan Modi), has approved the appointment of Mr. Zubairu Musa as Special Adviser on Persons with Disabilities.

The appointment, announced on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Mamsa. According to the statement, the appointment underscores the administration’s commitment to promoting disability inclusion, social equity, and participatory governance in Jigawa State.

Mr. Zubairu Musa currently serves as the Chairman of the Nigeria Association of the Blind (NAB), Jigawa State Chapter. He is widely regarded as a dedicated disability rights advocate with a strong track record in advancing inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The appointment is viewed as a strategic move by the Namadi-led administration to strengthen inclusive governance and ensure that the voices, needs, and concerns of persons with disabilities are effectively represented in government policies and decision-making processes across the state.
