Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen had on Monday, January 7, appointed a physically-challenged woman, Lois Auta as one of the technical committee members representing the voice for women and girls with disabilities in Nigeria.
INN gathered the news when it was shared on Facebook by Lois Auta at about 3:45pm on Tuesday.
Lois Auta, founder of Cedar Seed Foundation while expressing joy over the appointment said, “I have been appointed as a technical committee member to the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a voice for women and girls with disabilities”
INN had contacted Lois Auta but was yet to get a response at the time of this writing.
INN gathers that the group had their first meeting as a technical committee members to the Hon. Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development on Wednesday afternoon in the board room of Hon. Minister’s office. Thematic action plans were taken with Partners. Other things discussed at the meeting are yet to be known.
