The Disability community in celebrating mood as three officials serving the interest people with disabilities are re-appointed by the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, INN reports
The re-appointed officers include Bar. Chuks Betrand Ezewuzie, who is the SSA to Gov Obiano on Disability matters. Others are Bar. Victor Meju, who is physical challenged and former SA, now promoted to SSA on Power and Utility; Mr. Collins Joseph the SA to the governor on sign language Communication.
Kudos to the number one Disability inclusive Governor in Nigeria.
Kebbi PWDs seeks Political Appointments
Meanwhile, the Association of People with Disabilities in Kebbi have appealed to the state Governor, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, to appoint members as special advisers to have a sense of belonging.
The Chairman of the association, Malam Muhammad Argungu, made the appeal in Birnin Kebbi when he led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the governor, INN learnt.
He said the appointment of members of the association as special advisers would ensure their access to government and enable them to contribute to the state’s policy and decision making.
He also appealed for award of scholarship to children of the members of the association schooling in tertiary institutions.
