The Kehinde Oshilaja Foundation has called on Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to ensure that the 2026 Appropriation Bill adequately reflects the needs and welfare of persons with disabilities (PWDs) across the state.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the foundation’s Coordinator, Kehinde Oshilaja, appealed for stronger budgetary provisions in critical areas such as affordable housing, healthcare, and social infrastructure to improve the quality of life for PWDs.
He also urged the government to invest in modern sporting facilities that promote the physical and social inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Oshilaja highlighted the foundation’s ongoing collaboration with the state government in promoting inclusiveness and social development, pledging continued support for the Sanwo-Olu administration.
While commending the government for its interventions in education, empowerment, and social welfare, he emphasised the need for more targeted programmes that address the unique challenges faced by PWDs in Lagos State.
