Foundation Supports Visually Impaired Students with Braille Materials in Kano

by Inclusive News Network

The Late Prof. Jibrin Isa Diso Foundation has donated braille learning materials to the Special Education School, Tudun Maliki, Kano, to support visually impaired students ahead of their first-term examinations.

The intervention followed a social media appeal by the Vice Principal (Administration) of the school, Malam Ibrahim Umar Abdulkharim, who raised concerns over the lack of braille examination materials for visually impaired learners as exams approach later in November.

Representing the Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Isa Jibrin Isa, Dr. Fa’iza Jibrin Isa Diso led the donation visit to the school where the materials were formally handed over to the management. She also assured the school that the Foundation would renovate the students’ toilets as part of its continued support.

Receiving the items, the Head of the Visually Impaired Section, Malam Aminu Nasir, expressed appreciation to the Foundation for the timely assistance. He offered prayers for the late Prof. Jibrin Isa Diso and commended the Foundation for sustaining his legacy of supporting education and persons with disabilities.
