The Festus Fajemilo Foundation on Thursday, July 18, 2024, visited the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan to seek area of collaboration to train more medical personnel that provide life care for children with spina bifida.
The University disclosed this in a statement released on Saturday through its verified social media.
Speaking during the meeting, the CEO, Mr. Festus Afolabi Fajemilo noted that the foundation has been collaborating with the nursing department and other units that provide life care for children with spina bifida.
He also mentioned that they had conducted two days of training for nurses from healthcare facilities across the country.
“We are here at UCH today to discuss our progress so far and explore ways to strengthen our partnership by involving more medical personnel to ensure the sustainability of our projects,” Mr. Fajemilo added.
The Chief Medical Director, represented by the Director of Administration and Secretary to the Board of Management, Mr. Kolawole Oyeyemi conveyed the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo’s awareness and support of the foundation’s visit.
He commended the foundation for its initiatives and expressed appreciation for aligning with the administration’s focus on patient comfort and staff welfare.
Mr. Oyeyemi assured the visitors that the Hospital is ready to partner with the foundation once all necessary documentation is provided.
