Pure Girls Initiative & Single Teenage Moms Foundation has donated packs of sanitary pads to teen girls at the “Pad A Girl Program” organized to mark its 1st Year Anniversary.
Matron and Chairperson of the foundation, Professor Florence Obi Banku was represented by Pharmacist, Mrs. Margaret Mbanefo at the occasion. In her speech, she noted that education of the teen girl is of utmost importance at the present stage.
Mbanefo urged the teen girls to stay pure, shun immorality and take pride in their virginity.
Convener of the program, Patrick Pamela, while giving out diapers (pampers) to single teenage moms, noted that the program was well attended. She also remarked on how the past one year has been very productive and fruitful for the Foundation. Such, she says necessitated returning all the Glory to God.
Meanwhile, Madam Pamela trusted for more wisdom and capacity for the Foundation to do more and positively impact lives as they strive to make the life of the girl-child relevant to society.
Amongst items donated at the event were cash tokens to the participants for small and medium scale start ups. Clothing and accessories were also given out.
Dignitaries at the occasion to mark the event tagged “Help & Healing” included the Vice Chancellor, Arthur Jarvis University, State Pastor, Dominion City, Cross River State, Pastor Jesam Oboma, Acting Registrar, Arthur Jarvis University, Mrs. Ngozi Ughas and Pastor Leo Ughas, area Pastor, RCCG Life Sanctuary.
Also present were the “Big Qua” a Women Group of the Assemblies of God Church, led by Mrs. B.U. Ughasolu, Pharm. Pastor, Mrs. Maggie Mbanefo, Dr. Cynthia Ezekiel, Mrs. Eucharia and Mrs. Deborah Evarest.
