Naija Food Fiesta has unveiled plans to train 2,000 people in Nasarawa State, with special provision for 200 persons with disabilities.
The Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa, made the announcement during a press briefing in Lafia, stressing the NGO’s commitment to empowering vulnerable groups across the state.
He explained that the initiative aims to equip participants with practical skills for self-reliance while fostering an inclusive environment where persons with disabilities can thrive. Dr. Mustafa further appealed to the relevant commission to provide interpreters during the programme to ensure effective participation of persons with special needs.
Responding, the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Disability Rights Commission, Hon. Saleh Barde Keana, commended Naija Food Fiesta for the inclusive initiative and assured of the commission’s full support.
Keana also praised the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, for his sustained commitment to job creation and empowerment initiatives for residents of the state.
