Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has confirmed her attendance at the closing ceremony of the 3rd National Para Games, scheduled to hold on Friday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The National Sports Commission (NSC) disclosed that the First Lady, a longstanding patron of para sports in Nigeria, will serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the grand finale of the Games.
Her presence is expected to provide a fitting climax to what has been widely regarded as a successful edition of the National Para Games, which brought together some of the country’s top para athletes from across the federation to showcase their talents and resilience.
Senator Tinubu has remained a vocal advocate for sports development in Nigeria, offering support to various sporting initiatives and consistently championing the welfare and inclusion of athletes, including persons with disabilities.
She previously served as Grand Patron of the 2025 Africa Women’s Volleyball Club Championship held in Abuja and has continued to demonstrate commitment to advancing para sports in the country.
