Eid al-Fitr: Commission Calls for Inclusion, Compassion Towards Persons with Disabilities

The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has extended warm greetings to Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement, the Executive Secretary, Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan, praised Muslims for their commitment and resilience throughout the holy month, noting that Ramadan remains a period of deep reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal.

He expressed solidarity with Muslims celebrating across Nigeria and beyond, while praying for a peaceful and successful Eid celebration.

Gufwan further called on the Muslim faithful to uphold the values of compassion, generosity, and unity cultivated during Ramadan. He particularly encouraged continued support for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, stressing the importance of building a more inclusive and caring society.
