The Chairman of the Abia State Disability Commission, Mr. David Anyaele, has extended warm congratulations to Governor Alex Otti on the occasion of his 61st birthday, celebrated on Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
In a congratulatory message, Anyaele commended Governor Otti for his unwavering commitment to disability inclusion, social justice, and the overall welfare of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Abia State.
He highlighted the governor’s deliberate policies and programmes aimed at promoting equal opportunities and improving the quality of life of traditionally marginalised groups, particularly persons with disabilities.
Anyaele praised Governor Otti’s energy, resilience, intellect, and purposeful leadership, describing his administration as one focused on rescuing the state from years of developmental stagnation and setting it on a path of sustainable growth.
He expressed gratitude to God for the governor’s life, noting that his leadership has come at a critical time for the benefit of present and future generations of Abians.
According to him, the disability community in the state is already witnessing increased participation and visibility in governance, with deliberate efforts being made to dismantle barriers that hinder inclusion and equal access to opportunities.
“The disability community is experiencing unprecedented inclusion and participation in your government, with focused attention on removing barriers that hinder equal opportunities,” the statement read in part.
“Your Excellency’s birthday serves as a constant reminder that a better Abia State is achievable and that breaking barriers against persons with disabilities is not rocket science.
“I join men and women of goodwill across the world in praying for your continued good health, long life, and greater accomplishments. I also pray that God grants you divine insight, foresight, and wisdom as you continue to lead Abia State beyond 2027.”
