Disability Commission Celebrates Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s Six Years of Impactful Leadership

Gombe — The Gombe State Commission for Persons with Disabilities has extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya as he marks six years in office, lauding his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and the welfare of persons with disabilities.

In a congratulatory message signed on Thursday, May 29, 2025, by Dr. Ishiyaku Adamu, Executive Chairman of the Commission, the body praised the governor’s milestone achievements—particularly the establishment of the Commission itself—as a testament to his inclusive and compassionate leadership.

“Your administration has demonstrated unwavering commitment to inclusion, particularly through the establishment of the Gombe State Commission for Persons with Disabilities. This historic step has given our community a strong voice, institutional recognition, and a renewed sense of hope,” the statement read.

Dr. Adamu described Governor Yahaya’s leadership as people-centered and visionary, emphasizing the significant impact his policies have had on the lives of persons with disabilities in the state.
