Disability Agency Pushes for Greater Inclusion at CODISA Annual Workshop

Mrs. Adenike Oyetunde-Lawal, General Manager of the Lagos State Office for Disability Affairs, participated in the CODISA Christ’s Outreach on Disabilities’ annual workshop, themed “This Ability: Acts of Inclusion.”

In her address, she underscored the urgency of eliminating both physical and societal barriers that hinder the rights of people with disabilities.

She advocated for stronger disability rights and called for an inclusive society where people with disabilities can thrive and make meaningful contributions.

Mrs. Oyetunde-Lawal stressed the need for comprehensive government policies, increased community awareness, and shared responsibility to foster an environment of respect and dignity for all.

Held on September 28th, 2024, at the Chapel of the Healing Cross in Idi-Araba, Lagos, the workshop gathered diverse stakeholders to discuss disability rights, awareness, and the importance of fostering greater support for people with disabilities in the community.
