Church donates wheelchairs to Muslim’s community, others in Cross River

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, has donated wheelchairs to Muslim’s community in Calabar, General Hospital Akamkpa, and its environ as part of its welfare programme for 2022.

Speaking while donating the wheelchairs, to the Muslim’s community in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Alex Nkoro, the state’s President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints said the gesture was part of its welfare programme initiated by his organization some decades ago as practiced by Jesus Christ.

According to the clergy man, the donation demonstrate Jesus Christ and his servant in action.

In their separate remarks, the Secretary of the Muslim’s community in Calabar Alhaji Shaaban Abdullahi commended the Church for their show of love and magnanimity for their fellow men.

“This wonderful event , this singular action shows you tolerates other people’s religion”, Alhaji Abdullahi said while urging the beneficiaries to make use of the wheelchairs judiciously.

Also speaking, a representative of the General Hospital, Akamkpa Angela Akong lament the ordeal nursing mothes were passing through before and after delivery.

She commended the Church for their humanitarian supports towards the society.
