Persons with disabilities in Borno State have called for inclusion in the ongoing digital literacy training organised by Borno State government through Borno State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (BICTDA).
The group made the disclosure in a statement on Saturday, emphasizing the need for accessibility and equal opportunities in the state’s digital transformation.
Leader of the group, Mohammed Abubakar Kwalwakwalwa, also commended Governor of Borno State, Prof Babagana Zulum for establishing the agency and appointing Engr. Muhammed Ahmad Kabir Wanori as the Pioneer Executive Secretary of the Agency.
Engr. Muhammed Ahmad Kabir Wanori, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, informed that Governor Zulum has already made provisions for people with disabilities in all ICT centers, demonstrating the government’s commitment to inclusivity.
He requested a comprehensive list of members from each local government area to facilitate the inclusion process, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital journey.
