Bauchi Deaf Community Set for March 28 Leadership Election

Members of the Bauchi State Association of the Deaf are set to elect new leaders as the association prepares to conduct its 2026 executive election on March 28.

The electoral process, organized by the association’s electoral committee, will take place in Misau Local Government Area, bringing together members from across the state to participate in choosing a new leadership team following the expiration of the current executive council’s tenure.

According to a statement signed by the Electoral Committee’s Publicity Secretary, Umar Saleh Burra, the committee is fully committed to ensuring that the election is conducted in a transparent, credible, and inclusive manner.

The statement further noted that the election is expected to open a new chapter for the Deaf community in Bauchi State, strengthening unity within the association while promoting advocacy, leadership development, and greater inclusion for Deaf persons across the state.
