The All Progressive Congress has launched the application portal for the payment of N55,000 to all UNEMPLOYED NIGERIANS across the nation, the APC spokesman stated during the Annual Meeting chaired by APC Chairman John Oyegun, INN reports from source
INN gathered this was disclosed in a statement released by the Special Assistant to the chairman to enable the party to fulfill its promise of CHANGE MANTRA during the 2015 campaign
According to the statement, INN learnt that some of the states chapters have already been funded through the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) after application process of unemployed Nigerians.
Recall also that N-Power is a job creation and empowerment initiative of the federal government under the social investment programme. N-Power will empower young Nigerians with long skills and tools to make a difference in their lives and communities.
INN also learnt that to be a beneficiary of the N55,000 payment to the unemployed;
- the application must be done online free of charge.
- No multiple applications
- The applicant must reside in Nigeria
The source also made available the application link to the site to fill the online form. It restated that the online application is free and called for caution in doing so.
INN, However, learnt that member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sergius Ogun (PDP, Edo) has described as unrealistic, the campaign promise of the sum of N55,000 to unemployed youths by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying that the plan would not be realisable going by the current economic situation of the country.
He said this while speaking with journalists in Abuja at the weekend, the lawmaker advised that if the Federal Government possesses such funds to pay unemployed graduates, it should rather be channelled to agriculture to create more jobs.
