Remo Deaf Community In Ogun State

A deaf businessman and producer of bakery, “Blessed Bread” Mr. Abiodun Oluguna has reached out to the deaf community in Remo, Ogun State with palliatives to cushion the economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Olugana, now a resident in the United States of America, decided to reach out to the vulnerable group in his community knowing fully well that Persons with disabilities are the worst group affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

INN gathered that he donated relief packages to the group in his hometown to curtail the effects of hunger caused by the lockdown in the state.

Among the items donated included two bags of rice, one bag of beans, ten crates of eggs, 35 loaves of bread, 8 cartoons of noodles, one carton of vegetable oil which was shared among the group on Wednesday, leaving the beneficiaries smiling home with the palliatives.

Thanking the donor on behalf of the group is one of the beneficiaries, Lasisi Idowu, said “thank you for your love and kindness towards the Deaf community in remo.”

“You have been trying everything within your power to fight against Covid-19, making sure that the Deaf community in remo are safe and sound. Thank you for providing food stuffs for the deaf community in remo.”

“Your support has made life easier for the Deaf people in remo in this lock down period. May God continue to bless you abundantly Amen.”

Olugana’s gesture will certainly come in handy for the deaf community in the area.

Without a doubt some persons with disabilities in this group are managing to feed themselves and their families from the proceeds of sales daily but since the lockdown has prevented them from earning from there only means of livelihood, they have nothing to feed and such adverse effect on them is only better imagined than experienced.
