Ikpeazu Delivers Palliative To PWDs In Abia, Set To Distribute To The 17 LG Today

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has released palliative materials to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the state in an effort to cushion the economic hardship faced by persons with disabilities due to lockdown caused by the COVID-19.

The development came shortly after Center for Citizens with Disabilities had on Wednesday criticized some State Governments for neglecting PWDs in their respective states during the distribution of palliatives.

INN learnt from the Southeast Zonal Coordinator of JONAPWD, Comr. Ubochi u. Ubochi that Gov. Ikpeazu had ordered the release of the palliatives which was delivered to persons with disabilities through the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman of Abia State COVID-19 Task Force Commitee Bar. Chris Ezem.

The palliatives was received by State Chairman of JONAPWD, Mr. Stanley Onyebuchi and other stakeholders in the state.

The palliatives, INN learnt will be distributed to the 17 Local Government through the JONAPWD Chairman and the excos.
