Deaf community in Olorunda have lauded the Local Council Development Area, chairman, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde for distributing palliative to its members to curtail the effects of the hunger caused by the lockdown.
The group while expressing joy, appreciated the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon.Samson Folorunso Olatunde who recently made them to smile at a time they least expected with the provision of relief packages in small packs to some of their members in the local government area.
“We never ever believed that we can be remembered until when we got a surprise food palliative for some of our members from the Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Samson Folorunso Olatunde”, The chairman of Badagry Welfare Association of the Deaf, Kehinde Akewusola said on behalf of the group.
The group, in a statement obtained by INN also prayed for more wisdom, long life and one more term in office for the Chairman to enable them benefit more.
Like oliver twist, the group appealed to the Council Chairman to asist them in the area of employment and empowerment of their members in the LCDA most importantly, their involvement in the future LCDA empowerment programmes which they have never had the opportunity to benefit from.
