Ashaka Cement Doles Out Palliative to PWDs.

Ashaka Cement Company in Bajoga Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State has distributed palliative materials to persons living with disabilities to cushion the effect of Covid-19.

INN gathered that the pallatives materials include packs of tea, beans, rice, maize, Palm oils, Tomato pastes, packs of milk among others.

One of the beneficiaries, Ahmed Sambo expressed excitement with the relief materials, saying that it will go a long way to cushion the hardship the disability community in the area have endured since the lockdown begun.

He particularly noted that when the lockdown commenced, prices of foodstuffs increased and despite the government sharing palliative materials to support the less privileged ones, many deaf persons and persons with disabilities were excluded.

“We are grateful to Ashaka Cement Company for distributing the palliative to our groups. At least it will ease the hardship we are facing in this tough time,” Sambo added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Funakaye LGA Association of the Deaf, Sulaiman Abubakar Nagari thanked the management of the company for the concern shown towards PWDs in this tough time occassioned by the Covid-19 pandemic.
