In its unwavering commitment to the cause of inclusion, The Network For Disabled Women, NDW, in collaboration with Actionaid and Canada has undertaken a special training on inclusive education policy for management staff of Junior Secondary School, Kwali, FCT, along with other NDW project staff.

The training which held between 26th and 28th March 2022 had some 20 participants in attendance.

While commenting on the motives behind the project, the organizers pointed out that so far very little has been achieved in advancing inclusive education. Speaking at the event was the Program officer of NDW, Ms. Oluwaseun Ejalonibu. She encouraged teachers present at the meeting to be prime-movers who will ensure implementation of inclusive policies in their schools.

The program officer reiterated that pending for the government in this area need to be taken up by the teachers. They can do this by daring to make the first moves in their different schools.

Mr. Tafi Festus, a teacher at Junior Secondary School, Kwali, corroborated the need to push the discussions to a higher level where key stakeholders will be involved.
