Cross River State Disabilities Affairs Commission Bill Scales Second Reading

The Cross River State Disabilities Affairs Commission Bill 2021 has been read the second time on the floor of the House of Assembly.

The Commission will seek to safeguard people with disabilities against all forms of discrimination while providing them with equal opportunities in all aspects of human endeavors.

The Sponsor of the Bill, Rt. Hon. Regina Anyogo (Yala I), while presenting the objectives of the Bill said, that the bill will, ” promote multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary collaboration that benefit persons with disabilities and encourage networking among the civil society organization as well as “make, implement and promote policies that encourage persons with disabilities to participate in the social, economic and political life of the society”.
