CCD Mobilizes Partner Organizations On Airport Accessibility For PWDs

The Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) and partnering organizations working in collaboration for better access to airports for PWDs in Nigeria recently concluded a training on ‘Capacity enhancement’. The training, which took place on Tuesday 5th, October was in line with the group’s project activities designed to ensure beneficiaries are protected on all fronts.

Present at the training were leaders of the coalition partnership: Mr. David O. Anyaele (Executive Director, CCD), Mr. Obioha O. (Chairman, SCIAN) and Miss Aver Akighir (Executive Director, HAPI) and staff of the organizations.

The aim of the training is to safeguard and strengthen knowledge and development of project partners and their key officers. This, it is believed will help them execute their duties with knowledge and efficiency. Furthermore the training was designed to enhance project officers ability to effectively communicate with beneficiaries.

In a nutshell, the project which was supported by Disability Rights Fund is targeted at creating awareness on the right of PWDs to accessible airports and airlines services in Nigeria.
