Sejoro Ekundayo Peter, CEO/Publisher at Inclusive News Network has been honoured with yet another iconic award.
The “Deaf Icon Award” was awarded the tireless publisher in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the development of the Deaf community in Nigeria.
The award was conferred on Sejoro alongside other awardees at an event organized by Deaf Women Aloud Initiative (DWAI) to celebrate thriving Deaf Persons and sign language Interpreters in Nigerian Deaf community and to commemorate International Week of the Deaf and International Day of Sign Language.
Receiving the award on behalf of Sejoro Ekundayo, INN’s Abuja Correspondent, Festus Zenda, said “I’m dedicating this award to all Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and everyone out there who in one way or another are working round the clock to promote disability accessibility, inclusion, and disability rights.
Meanwhile, Sejoro has assured of INN’s continued commitment to the Deaf Community, OPDs, Disability Commission, Disability Government Agencies, Persons with Disabilities and others to achieve all round inclusion, implementation of the Disability Law and development of the Nigerian Sign Language.
Ekundayo has been variously honoured for his pioneering works in the Disability community since 2019. OPDs who have recognized Sejoro’s commitment includes Voice For the Deaf Foundation, DINABI, Project Enable, and DWAI.
