Senator representing Gombe Central constituency, Muhammadu Danjuma Goje has distributed equipment and food stuffs to people living with disabilities to alleviate economic hardship in the State.
Sen. Goje who was represented by former Speaker of the State house of Assembly, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Kurba, said the items were meant to reduce poverty and promote self reliance among his people.
Items distributed includes , tailoring materials, tricycle (Keke) generators, bags of maize, rice, beans , millet, noodles, fish, seasoning, matresses, mosquito nets, among others.
Chairman of Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities, Gombe State chapter, Alh. Umar Goro appreciated the distinguished senator for the kind gesture.
Umar noted that no politician has touched the lives of PWDs in Gombe State as Goje had.
