Groups Launch Empowerment Program For Nigerian Educators, Parents, PWDs, Others

A UK based group, “We Can Access”, in collaboration with Special Needs Initiative For Growth has just launched Empowerment, a self-paced online program for Nigerian Educators, Parents, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities, Civil Society Organizations, academia and other Disability enthusiasts.

The collaboration is offering 150 free slots of learning and information resources through a free online training. The training will cover four major courses, namely:

Nigeria – Improving Access to learning with your pupils

Nigeria – Creating a more accessible learning environment with the WCA Accessibility Framework

Nigeria Parents – How to work with schools (free)

Nigeria Schools – Working with parents of pupils with special needs.

According to the groups, this course is valid until September 2022. All that is required of participants to have a smooth learning experience is to follow instructions on the Google Drive Link below. The link contains step by step procedures for registration.

Each learner, on conclusion of training, is entitled to a certification and a letter of attestation from the University of East London, United Kingdom.
