Kano State SCIAN Boss Donates Reading Materials To Kanawa Educational Foundation For The Disabled.

The Spinal Cord Injuries Association of Nigeria, (SCIAN) Kano State Chapter has donated some eight dozens (96 pieces) of various subject textbooks and story books for Junior and Senior Secondary students to the Kanawa Educational Foundation For The Disabled.

Chairman of SCIAN, Kano State, Engr Abdul Haruna who made the disclosure in an interview with Inclusive News Network, INN stated that he sees it necessary “to support the Foundation’s efforts in assisting children with disabilities in the State, by taking them off the streets and enrolling them in schools – meanwhile, also providing them with uniforms, textbooks, and paying tuition.

In his words, “this gesture is my personal contribution to the education of children with disabilities in Kano State. I’m donating this on behalf of myself and my family.

The Late Founder of the Kanawa Foundation, Late Abba Sarki (RIP) was the first person to give scholarships to the Spinal cord injury cluster. Further extolling the legacy left by the late Abba, Engr. Haruna remarked: “I must say that a positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst which sparks extraordinary results. This is what we are witnessing today.”

Vice Chairperson of the foundation, Malama Hussaina who was present at the SCIAN, Kano Chapter office Secretariat in Tarauni to receive the materials expressed joy at the donations.

She thanked SCIAN for its contribution to the children’s educational needs.
