The Management of Chinese Civil Engineering Construction Company, (CCECC) in a visit to National Commission for Persons with Disability has promised a robust partnership for accessible infrastructure for persons with Disability in Nigeria.
This was revealed in a statement signed by Chief press secretary, Media and Publicity unit of the commission, Dooshima Pius-Ikerave on Tuesday.
Mr. Dongping, while congratulating James Lalu on his appointment as the first Executive Secretary of the Commission, said he is looking forward to a very robust partnership between the Commission and CCECC.

He highlighted the activities of CCECC in Nigeria as one of the leading construction firms, assuring that the Commission could count on them on the issue of accessible buildings and for their support and valued contribution to the progress and growth, not just of the Commission, but the entire Disability community in Nigeria.
In his remarks, the Executive Secretary, NCPWD, James Lalu appreciated CCECC team for the visit, he affirmed the need for partnership between the CCECC and the Commission in the area of accessibility into buildings, Airports, Train stations etc.
Mr. Lalu further called on all critical stakeholders in every sector within the Disability community and beyond to come together to work for the sake of achieving the Inclusion agenda of the commission which is hinged on accessibility as this is key to restoring the dignity of Persons with Disabilities in Nigeria who have suffered neglect and Discrimination for too long.

Mr Simon Agenyi, Head of Procurement, and Barr. Ikem Uchegbulam, Director, Enforcement and Compliance were other Management Staff present at the meeting.
