These-Abilities Women and Youth Empowerment, (TAWYE) a women and youth with Disabilities oriented NGO has kicked off a capacity building training for her members, management and staff on activities planning, outcome tracking and reporting as well as strategies to reach out to potential donors and sponsors in order to ensure organizational objectives are realized.
This information was disclosed in a statement through its Executive Director, Ronald Magaji on Friday.
In his welcome remarks, Magaji admonished the participants to make the most of the rare opportunity to update their knowledge in order to be more efficient and effective in the discharge of their duties.
Daniel P. Suredou Esq., a seasoned lawyer and academician was invited to facilitate the workshop. The lawyer highlighted among other core points, the importance of grants to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), he lectured at length on the grant writing process, subtle pitfalls to avoid when writing a grant, the tracking process, evaluation of outcome and reporting.
The workshop was made possible through the support of Disability Rights Fund. The funding Organization engaged the initiative to strengthen the capacity of Disabled Persons (DOPs) in Nigeria.
