Updated: NAB, Lagos Chapter To Hold Congress And Elections Today

Nigerian Association of the Blind (NAB) Lagos State chapter has scheduled her Congress and Election to hold on January 8 and 9, 2021 respectively.

This update was disclosed by the Public Relation Officer of the Association, Ms. Opeyemi Adewale.

The association is geared towards raising advocacy, education, empowerment and business entrepreneurship for persons who are blind and partially slighted in Lagos State. The congress entails discussions around the inclusion of educational system in Lagos for persons with blindness and the perception of private and public institutions on employment when it comes to persons with blindness.

delivered by experts in their respective fields which would be followed by a General Assembly which is a dialogue between members of the Association and the outgoing excos on events that happened in the last 4 years.

“Thereafter, we will have our elections which would usher in a new set of excos into office.” Opeyemi said.

The group had earlier invited some Executive Board members of the Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities, (JONAPWD) Lagos State to its 2021 Congress and Elections as observers and monitors of the election.
